Your First Veil of Ashes Event
Step beyond the ordinary and into a world of fantasy, adventure, and possibility. Spend a weekend immersed in a living story where unforgettable characters, unexpected encounters, and player-driven adventures bring the world to life. Forge friendships, shape the unfolding story, and create memories that last long after the weekend ends.
Your first costume can start at a thrift shop
Look for pieces that suggest a medieval fantasy setting. Think Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time, or Game of Thrones: a loose shirt, a vest, a simple skirt or trousers, and a belt can give you ideas without a big first-event budget.
Start with what you already own, then add pieces you like over time.

Make it your own
You can enjoy getting into the setting while keeping your first outfit simple and affordable. Our community is a place to share ideas and see what other players have put together.
Pack for a weekend away
Three-day events run Friday–Sunday. Four-day events run Friday–Monday.
Parking is $10 per vehicle.
Adventurers ages 10 and up
Players ages 10–15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. They receive the discounted entry prices above, and age-specific restrictions apply.
Food, friends, and a place to gather
About $30 for a weekend
Tavern prices range from $1.00 to $12.00. We have snacks, drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinners available.
Saturday dinner
Around 6:30 pm
A planned dinner is offered each event. The menu changes from event to event, with a cost of $8–$12, depending on what is served.
